Our very own- Dr. Shernaz Cama Delhi Mazda Multimedia Dr. Shernaz Cama is an Associate Professor of English at Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi. Through her immense planning, efforts and leadership, in August 2002 she along with her team established the Parzor foundation as a registered society. She is the Director of Parzor Foundation. She worked and continues to work extremely hard but very silently and humbly for the benefits of the Parsi Iranian Zoroastrian community and the preservation of the Parsi culture. She also worked extremely hard and tirelessly to ensure that Navroze be declared as a spring festival. She even protested against the UNESCO and her endless struggle gained successful results when the the 71st UN General Assembly declared the festival as a spring festival. From just 6 countries to now 30 countries including Turkey celebrate the festival. What an achievement! This is just a tiny anecdote of her challenges. There are many more obstacles her way. She is also the curator of Everlasting flames programme in England. During the 60th anniversary OF Indo-Iranian relationship, Parzor was also a partner with the Iranian embassy and there were seminars, a musical evening and a priest had been invited from Iran for a talk. She even describes the establishment of Jiyo Parsi and the ad campaigns launched by them which caught a lot of eye balls. She earnestly pleads She pleads the people to come together to start a Zarthosthi museum in Mumbai as the community has tremendous treasures and the entire world needs to see the treasures of the Parsi Iranian Zoroastrian community. Dr. Cama also makes very important announcements about the schemes currently launched by the Jiyo Parsi to increase the number and the health of the community. Check out the audio to find out more!
