He’s a ballet teacher to Bollywood stars and has appeared in movies like “Happy New Year” and “Anybody Can Dance,” but Fernando Aguilera’s true joy is finding and supporting talented young dancers. Hailing from Argentina, Fernando has made India his home since 1997 when he co-founded the “Imperial Fernando Ballet Company.” A few years back, he spotted Kamal Singh, the son of a rickshaw driver, who is now studying at the prestigious English National Ballet School in London. Fernando spoke to Mehar about how he put Kamal on the path to become a professional ballet dancer, and what inspires him to teach in India.
