It is time to continue Part 2 with Mr. Burjor Antia. Mr. Antia articled as a clerk under Mr. Framroz Sukhia for 3 years. He cleared the solicitors exam in the first attempt itself. His career as a solicitor commenced on 1st may 1962 with Mulla &Mulla &Craige Blunt&Caroe. The firm became synonyms with Burjor Antia. His legal practice of more than 57 years attended all types of legan matters; litigation and non-litigation. One of the path breaking court matter was pertaining to Excise Duty on post manufacturing expenses which was challenged by Mr. Antia's client, Voltas limited. Mr. Antia fought the case and succeeded. The matter went up to the Supreme Court of India and success was on Mr. Antia's side. This is just one instance, there were many such cases wherein Mr. Antia's knowledge, and legal expertise was sought for. Additionally, Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth conferred Mr. Antia with the degree of Doctor of Letters (D. Litt)for his distinguished and significant contribution to law. He is a company Director of several companies. Various Indian and Foreign Banks are his clients. Apart from law, Mr. Burjor is very passionate about selfless social service. He is a trustee of so many Parsi charitable trusts and Fire Temples. He also is an avid reader of Zoroastrianism, the religion and even shares his knowledge about the religion and its history through his articles in Jam-e-Jamshed. He also launched his Second book 'In Praise of Ahura Mazda' in 2013. Mr. Burjor Antia's biography 'Burjor Antia An Optimal Parsi' was written by Mr. Berjis Desai in 2019. ..There is so much to learn from Mr. Antia. His hard work, perseverance, dedication, devotion, passion for law are very inspiring qualities.
